Variety of Cirebon Language

After Indonesian independence, Cirebon language is one of the Cirebon ethnic culture that serves as regional languages and still used by the community, both in oral and written form. Cirebon language since the time of the "Wali Sanga" spreaders of Islam in Java has been officially used as the language of government and the spread of Islam, especially in the interpretation of Islamic teachings through ijmak and QIAS. Cirebon language is also the language of speech in the society of farmers and fishermen in the North Coast of Java Island.

Therefore, its preservation is the responsibility of local governments and the entire community. Therefore, in order to achieve effective efforts in preserving the language as the language of Cirebon area is through education, namely through the socialization process of teaching and learning in schools, particularly elementary and secondary schools in the regions concerned.

Through the dissemination of teaching and learning activities that function Cirebon language as the language of everyday speech materialize. Through language the same way Cirebon to digging the values of the valuable cultural relic of Islam which spread the "Wali Sanga".
